Professor Ulun ULUĞ completed his medical education at Hacettepe University in 1993 with after he specialized in obstetrics and gynecology at Marmara University. Later, he passed the USMLE (United States Medical License) exams and worked as a fellowship in the department of reproductive endocrinology at GBMC hospital in Maryland USA and as a fellowship at Israel Technion University Haemek hospital for the same branch. He played a role in the establishment of the first preimplantation genetic diagnosis unit in Turkey at the German hospital in Istanbul. Between 2000 and 2014, he administered IVF treatment to thousands of couples at the German hospital. He came up with the idea of the Reproductive Health Association (URSAK) to protect the reproductive potential of individuals and couples diagnosed with cancer and became a founding member.

Professor Ulug has nearly 25 years of experience in reproductive endocrinology and IVF treatments. Infertility surgery is of particular interest to correct congenital anomalies of the uterus and intrauterine pathologies. He has more than 50 published articles and over 1700 citations to them in the leading foreign scientific journals. It is above 92% of scientists worldwide in the RG rating followed by international institutes. It has been shown among the top 10 physicians in its country in terms of international citations by Google Scholar. He participates in national and international congresses as an invited speaker. He was the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul Altınbaş Kemerburgaz University Faculty of Medicine between 2015 and 2017. He is currently head of obstetrics and gynecology program of Haliç University Istanbul

He is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Health (ASRM), the European Society of Reproductive and Embryology (ESHRE), the Turkish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (TJOD) and the Society of Reproductive Medicine (UTD). Prof. Ulug has written chapters in 5 books, one of which is foreign and the other is national. Assisted reproductive treatments certificates issued by the Ministry of Health are available for both clinical and laboratory applications. Professor Ulug is a referee for prestigious scientific journals such as Fertilty and Sterility, Human Reproduction, JARGE and RBM Online.
